After an incredible inaugural event in June 2018, we are pleased to announce CRAZY JEANS is returning to Tunbridge Wells in 2019 even bigger, better and more exhilarating than before!
The one-of-its-kind soapbox kart race raises serious cash for local charities while bringing businesses and community groups together for a hilarious family fun day out in the heart of the town. Hosted at Dunorlan Park on Saturday June 8th, Crazy Jean’s will be supporting two amazing charities in 2019: Hospice in the Weald and Taylor Made Dreams, a charity which enables children with life-limiting illnesses achieve their wishes and dreams.
Once again, 50 handmade soapbox karts, each sponsored, manned and expertly “pimped up” by each team, will go head to head in hilarious Red Bull-style time trials of a specially-made downhill race track in the picturesque park.
The day culminates in the four fastest teams battling it out in The Grand Final to find the ultimate 2019 Crazy Jean’s Winner.
Following in the footsteps of legendary TV chef Rosemary Shrager – a celebrity commentator is being secured for the 2019 event where thousands of spectators are again expected to turn out to support friends, foes, business associates and rivals in the race of the year!
Headline sponsor will be multi-award-winning local and online company, Childrensalon, which has always stood by a ‘people first’ approach to business and is reflected in their charitable and supportive work in the local community.
Trackside entertainment will include a kids’ zone with giant inflatables along with a food and drinks village.
